Aboriginal chants and the legendary letter of 1796 by Woollarawarree Bennelong were used the primary music sources of Yabun Yaguna. Three chants are derived from the Sydney region and one from the Paakantjy Menindee region. The preparations and performances of the historic Aboriginal music were conducted with respectful acknowledgement of Indigenous elders past and present.
